Ex Engineer / DIY enthusiast Required Part Time
This job would suit a retired engineer or DIY enthusiast wishing to do a worthwhile job on a part time basis. The role requires travelling to our client’s sites, reviewing the site, detailing any repair work and reporting back to the team. If the successful person has skill sets and is willing to assist in the repairs this again would be advantageous.
Initially the role is to complete 1 or 2 days per week on a ‘required’ basis, there is a pool car located at our Aldershot office for the travel to and from sites. There may additional days needed and on occasions possibly some away days requiring possibly an overnight stay in accommodation provided by the company. A flexible approach is key, good general knowledge on mechanical plant or proven DIY skills would be required.
Due to the location of our sites some early mornings on the days worked will be required. Friendly operations team will assist along with full time engineers who will provide on-site training as required.

Air Conditioning Engineer
The engineer will be suitably qualified and have experience in service/maintenance, fault finding plus repairs/brazing work. Desirable but not critical knowledge/experience in installation of AC systems. Cinque carry out works on the following types of air conditioning units; Splits, multi-splits, VRV, VRF, FCU’s, AHU’s, DX systems, packed systems, extract and supply air systems, remote condensers, dry coolers. Cinque also carry out a variety of Energy saving upgrade projects which the engineer will be required to participate in, training is provided on this type of work
The role requires the engineer to work on all types of air conditioning units plus have a basic working knowledge of a generator. The engineering role will eventually require the individual to go on a 24/7 call out system operated on a rota usually 1 week in 5. The engineer is required occasionally to spend time away from home for which expenses are provided.
The individual should have the following qualifications:
- CITB/or other body - Safe Handling Refrigerants
- CITB/or other body - Pipework & Brazing – Commercial
- CITB/or other body - Safe Handling of R410A
- City & Guilds or qualification in Air Conditioning through appropriate body
- (FGas registered)
- IPAF (desirable but training can be provided)
- PASMA (desirable but training can be provided)
Junior AC Engineer/Improver
The junior engineer can be currently working through an Apprenticeship/training or be fully qualified wishing to expand their knowledge in Air Conditioning. The role will be to assist our fully qualified engineers with their daily workload of servicing and maintaining Air Conditioning units. The type of work Cinque complete on behalf of our client is service/ maintenance, repairs/brazing work and fault finding. They will gain experience on all types of air conditioning units including, Splits, multi-splits, VRV, VRF, FCU’s, AHU’s, DX systems, packed systems, extract and supply air systems, remote condensers and dry coolers. Cinque also carry out a variety of Energy saving upgrade projects which the junior engineer will participate in to assist in acquiring further competencies in this field of work.
The role requires the engineer to work on all types of air conditioning units plus generator systems. The engineering role will eventually require the individual to go on a 24/7 call out system operated on a rota usually 1 week in 5. The engineer will be expected to attend sites away from home and provision for staying over and expenses is provided.
The individual will be placed on the following courses to assist with this role:
- CITB - Safe Handling Refrigerants
- CITB - Pipework & Brazing – Commercial
- CITB - Safe Handling of R410A
- PASMA / IPAF
- Qualification in Air Conditioning through appropriate body
- Mentoring throughout the training
